footsteps to emptiness

Something’s not right...

Life just isn’t working the way you want.

You’ve always had a deep sense that there’s something more. Even when it’s felt strange and unrealistic, you’ve known there’s another way.

Sometimes that knowing has been powerful, and sometimes it’s been elusive and almost other-worldly.

Sometimes you’ve tried to understand more, and sometimes you’ve just been too immersed in day-to-day activities to pay attention.

For whatever reason — a significant change in your life, frustration that’s too strong to ignore any more, or simply finding the time and space and opportunity — you’re ready to acknowledge your sense of disconnectedness, of something missing, and connect with the possibility of something more.

Trust that knowing. Trust that calling. It’s true and real: there is another way.

And it’s natural within you. It’s always been there, even when you haven’t been able to see it, sense it, or experience it directly.

Welcome to Finding Another Way: practical, simple steps to personal freedom.

stairs to unknown

In two one-hour teleclasses, this workshop validates the truth of your intuitive glimpses, and gives you a taste, an introduction, to a deeper reality, to another way.

When your questioning meets self-possibility, you can remember a deeper awareness that’s always been there, usually on the periphery, at moments central. There is more than frustration, disconnectedness, sadness, pain, loneliness: there’s something deeply natural within you that remembers freedom and knows how to relax, how to listen to stillness and find peace.

Like my clients, your questions and struggle may be made up of many things: responsibility, frustration, a lifelong sense of inadequacy, striving for perfection, longing for love, seeking to be “good enough” — all of those and more. You’ve forged onwards throughout your life, covering up all that inner doubt with your competance, success, accomplishments.

The only problem is, that cover-up hides not only all your suppressed frustration, fear, and insecurity, but also you — your indomitable spirit, your greatness, your creativity, your sense of fun, your ability to love without hesitation.

And it takes tremendous energy and concentration to maintain the barriers and the always-precarious sense of control.

What does it take to be ready for change?

When you acknowledge your fear that this is all there is, you open the door to finding new, more meaningful ways of living.

Taking a deeper look into who and what you really are, learning to hear the stillness that’s underneath everything, questioning the rules and breaking down the walls: these are some of the stepping-stones along the path to remembering yourself, remembering what it’s like to be whole, to be free.

And there’s great peace that comes with understanding and compassion.

This is about opening to what’s calling you.

path in the woods

It’s about having the compassionate, strong support you need to hear what that call is saying and what it means. It’s a guided exploration of possibilities, of your sense of what’s really true — a glimpse through the door of the Remembering Room.

It’s about learning ways to come home to being without self-consciousness, without wondering what others will think. It’s about discovering what it’s like to be with innocence, wonder, and courage. And it’s about experiencing wholeness on all planes, reconnecting yourself to a whole-body, whole-mind, whole-self experience of life.

It’s a guided, supportive experience of the possibilities of deep personal freedom, and the joy and abundance that arise from that.

I think Jon is very special. He has such an ability as a man to elicit from a woman feelings that you don’t share with men normally. I don’t mean to sound sexist, but there is a real comfort in Jon. He gently illuminates the colors and the prism and perspective that we are as unique individuals. When we listen to our hearts, things can be transmitted to the world, transmitted to our daily actions, for the benefit of the whole circle.

The Workshop Facilitators

In the words of his clients, “Jon Hansen is a guide and a teacher with an amazing ability to transmit deep realities and truths in ways that connect. It’s a connection of profound awareness from where he is to where I might be, to that part of me that is always and already aware, and it allows me to hear what he has to say on very deep, non-mental, non-verbal levels.”

You can read more about Jon on the About page.

I have deliberately never worked with a man at this level before. I have trust issues that go way back that I’ve never been willling to look at. So it was huge for me to decide to work with Jon.

Jon, I am humbled by your strength of character, knowledge, patience with the process, and clear vision for me as a client that I see emanating from you as you work with me. It’s beyond words how grateful I am that I have your presence in my life.

Grace Judson has been working with Jon for about a year now as his client, student, business partner, and friend. Her life and her business have changed profoundly as a result of her work with Jon. She will share stories of her personal journey and answer your questions. By offering her own real, sometimes difficult, sometimes joyful, and often amazing experiences, she hopes to provide validation of the absolute reality that there is another way. Grace’s background is available on her website, Svaha Concepts.

Grace, you have an uncanny ability to see through what is being said and surface all the “unsaid” issues. Then you quickly give candid feedback and have a tremendous toolbox to help me move forward through your expert guidance with the right tool. The speed at which you understood my predicament and used great approaches to get me unstuck and moving forward was amazing.

I have worked with many facilitators / coaches / counselors relating to work and personal situations. Your skills are exemplary and moved me faster than I ever expected. I now have great tools for reframing my perception of a situation — and I’ve made an internal “flip” in my mind from inertia and sadness to optimism and momentum!

Workshop Outline

Using the story of Grace’s journey as a framework, Jon will draw out the key points, the most significant ingredients that will help you remember yourself, return to your own sense of deep personal freedom and wholeness.

We’ll talk about how they apply to your life, about ways for you to look deeper, to be curious, to explore what this other way of being and living might look like. We’ll discuss specific tools such as inquiry, meditation, using visual images, and more — and we’ll ground it all in practical ways for you to integrate these tools into your real-world life.

You’ll emerge from the first session with a sense of clarity about first steps — and some assignments for those first steps to work on during the week.

Unlimited email support between classes, from both Jon and Grace, will help with whatever comes up for you.

In the second class, we’ll talk about your experiences, sharing whatever you’re comfortable with in the group. Jon will deepen the discussion on how to maintain your commitment to change, to personal freedom, as you complete the workshop and move forward on your own.

Email support from Jon and Grace continues for two weeks after the second session as you integrate what you experienced and learned into your life.
