I can honestly say that, for the first time in 50 years, I’m learning how to just be. How to relish the present moment, which, magically and mysteriously, unlocks the door to the treasure house that is the rest of my life.

From the moment Jon and I connected, I had this deep experience of loving presence and complete trust. Something bypassed my mind and my ability to figure things out, and communicated directly to my heart and soul that I was safe and in the right place. There was a creation of power in our relationship that he honored and witnessed as being mine. It was my power. I had the experience of being wonderfully, beautifully powerful, in the most loving, energized way.

Jon can help you recognize where you are, and become more clear. My work with him has not been about plotting out my future, it has been about helping me come into deeper relationship with myself so that next steps unfold easily and effortlessly.
He creates a safe, spacious container for you to go as deep or wide or high as you’re capable of in any given moment. It’s a matter of him being able to see the facets and help me make them real in me.

My feelings changed from, “Quick, fix me, I can’t stand how I feel, make it better, hurry,” to, it’s not about hurry, and it’s not about fixing, it’s about staying where you are and getting more and more and deeper and deeper sensations that this is okay. You’re fine, this is okay.
It helps me reframe experience. I don’t see anything that’s happening quite the same as I’ve ever seen it before, because my viewpoint has been enlarged. There’s more, there’s peace, there’s joy, there’s love, there’s health, there’s everything.

There are so many programs out there that offer so much. Their testimonials exude joy and prosperity. The offerings seem so attractive, and yet you have a sense, deep down, that something’s not quite right.
They urge you to think positively. Focus on what you want. Visualize your goal every day. Act “as if” you’re already there. Practice an attitude of gratitude. Give to get. Affirm your self-worth, and whatever you do, don’t look at or question your problems, doubts, or fears — you’ll just get more of what you don’t want. Meditate — follow your breath — empty your mind — tame your demons — banish or befriend your shadow.
Each of these practices has a grain of real truth at the core. That’s why the programs seem reasonable and sound intriguing. Each one holds out a tangible hope of something real. Yet they’re also weirdly off balance because each one is only a small part of the whole picture. Experienced individually, they create a distorted perspective.
It’s like those carnival fun-house mirrors. Everyone loves to look at the weird reflections of themselves — but you wouldn’t want to base your personal grooming choices on what you see there.
Similarly, basing your life’s choices on these programs, even those that seem the most serious and professional — well, as long as they’re distortions, they’ll be just as unfulfilling and empty as the cotton candy you eat at the carnival.
You know that, because you’ve experienced it.
How many programs have you been in that left you thinking ... ok, now what? Programs that left you feeling as if you’d done something wrong — or are something wrong — because you couldn’t make them work as advertised?
How many counseling sessions, paths of study, or techniques have you tried that gave you wonderful glimpses of what you know is true, provided a few moments of feeling confident and powerful within yourself, but somehow never helped you actually realize what you yearn for?
If it’s more than two or three, you’ve encountered your share of fun-house mirrors!
And they leave you feeling frustrated, angry, and even panicky. And cheated — cheated by your own inner certainty that there must be something more.
The Remembering Room offers you an alternative to distortion.
Here you’ll find an invitation to rediscover your own accurate reflection of yourself.
And here too is the support you need to meet the places of resistance and struggle within you — places that appear to be obstacles, but are actually opportunities.
In the Remembering Room, you return to yourself, to your own autonomy, and to your own experience.
When you attempt to transcend what arises within you, it all piles up, undermining your stability, distorting your perspective. Instead, meet what comes with honesty and clarity. It’s all ok; this is the journey.
The practices and tools are universal. They rely only on your commitment to yourself. There’s no need to do anything or be more than you always and already are. You don’t need to be disciplined or to hold yourself accountable to a goal.
Instead, simply focus on what’s happening for you, uniquely and individually with each moment and experience in your life.
