My invitation to you to experiment with meditation
Meditation is a doorway to know your self — to explore and understand your inner landscape. It’s often confusing to people, even those who have practiced meditation at various times. There are many misconceptions — you’re not supposed to think, for instance (even though the mind thinks naturally). Another is you have to sit in strange positions without moving, or that you’re supposed to repeat a mantra. Some even say your mantra must be given to you by a teacher. What if you don’t have a teacher, but you still want to meditate? That’s why I create guided meditationsMeditation is a very personal experience. Every meditation is unique, and all meditation experiences are ok. There is no right or wrong. At the same time, a little help in the beginning, or occasionally trying a different approach than you’ve been using, can be useful. What you’ll getWhen you sign up, you’ll get access to several downloadable MP3s that you can listen to from your computer or MP3 player. The meditations vary in length, but are generally about nine or ten miutes long. They’ll help you enter a meditative state that you can then choose to sit with for as long as you like. You’ll also receive my twice-monthly newsletter, Crossing the Threshold. I calling it a newsletter even though its format varies. Sometimes you’ll receive an article; sometimes it will be a link to a recording or podcast that you can listen to; and sometimes it may take the form of a written dialog between me and one of my clients. In all cases, it’s my hope that the content will be helpful to you as you explore what life might be like from a place of wholeness and unconditional trust. Your email is safe with me. I will not sell, give, lend, or otherwise share it with anyone. |
